Welcome Readers!

"Hello" to all my regular readers and those who are here for the first time!
I hope that this blog enlightens and encourages those who read it but I also hope that it will wake up those who have been asleep to the clock that is ticking within our beautiful nation and within the body of Christ. It is my goal to glorify our Lord and share the Truth with anyone who will listen!
I pray that the Lord will give you strength and courage each day to do His will and to glorify Him. It seems to be getting harder and harder these days to keep our heads above water, but He does promise us that He will not allow the waters to overtake us! Praise Him for that promise!

Thank you!

This will be short but sweet. I encouraged you to go vote in my last post. It seemed as though we were on a precipice, and it wasn't certain if the rock was going to give away or stand firm. Thanks to everyone who voted for morality and God's Word, it stood firm. Does this mean it is over? Not at all!! Now it is just the beginning. It is time to take a big deep breath and praise God for the grace and mercy He has shown us. It is time to get on our knees in prayer and seek His will and to ask for direction. Now is not the time to relax and coast. We know that His return is imminent, and we have work to do.

I do believe that times may get worse before they get better. And even if that isn't the case, it will take time to start seeing improvement. We need to stay the course. Get involved in your communities, school boards, local governments. Share with those in need and continue to show the love of Jesus. Spend more time in prayer, spend more time in the Word.

In my Bible Study (BSF), we are studying the book of Revelation this year. We are in chapter 5 where John is weeping because there appears to be none worthy of opening the scroll. I wondered "why is he weeping?" It was mentioned to me that maybe he was weeping because he wanted so dearly to know what God had to say on that scroll but with no one worthy he would not be able to know what God wanted to share. Then the question was asked of me, "Would you weep over not knowing what God had to say?  Would you weep if you didn't have the Bible?" Wow. That was a hard hitter. Then an even harder question was asked of me, "How will I feel if in heaven God shows me all of the missed opportunities that I had to share His Truth but didn't take them?" Great questions. Hard answers.

As Americans, we are so busy just doing our thing, but some day we will see that doing our thing was such a waste of time. Doing God's things is where we should be focused. I do want to thank all of you who voted, regardless of who you voted for, you took your privilege and responsibility seriously. And I want to thank the Lord God Almighty for His grace on our nation and His mercy in my life.  AMEN
